How to have a stress-free wedding - The Nuptial, a Yorkshire wedding blog4 Ways to Stay Stress-Free the Week Before Your Wedding.

The week before you say ‘I Do’ should be a time of reflection and relaxation as you and your partner head towards wedded bliss, right? Wrong! As your wedding date looms, so does the culmination of months of hard work, organisation, blood sweat and tears. Whilst some experts recommend that you take time out every day to meditate, we know that most of you lead busy lives and haven’t got the time for that, so here are 4 practical things you can do to keep yourself calm before your wedding.

1. Get a squad and don’t be afraid to delegate.

Taylor Swift isn’t the only woman allowed to have a squad, you can too. If you’re feeling overwhelmed by the last minute jobs, then ask your friends to help out. Chances are, they will only be too glad to help, especially if they’re in the bridal party.

2. Arrange a date night with just you and your partner with no wedding chat.
The pressure of organising a wedding can lead to many an argument, so it’s important that you and your partner reconnect before the big day. You don’t even have to go anywhere, a takeaway and a night in front the telly will be fine, just as long as you agree to not talk about the wedding!

3. Write things down.How to have a stress-free wedding - The Nuptial, a Yorkshire wedding blog(Image by MakeupSavvy.co.uk)

If you’re someone whose brain is most active when they’re supposed to be asleep, then the run-up to your wedding can be a really stressful time. If you find yourself mentally making lists instead of sleeping then keep a notepad next to your bed and write everything down. the process of writing will not only help you order your thoughts, it can also help identify the source of a problem and you’re less likely to worry about forgetting something.

 4. Enjoy the experience. How to have a stress-free wedding - The Nuptial, a Yorkshire wedding blog(Image by Natasha Cadman Photography)

Don’t forget to enjoy yourself. focus on what’s important. In just a few days your closest friends and family will be gathered to celebrate the coming together of two people in love. Put things into perspective; things might go wrong, but don’t let it overshadow your day. So many people never get to experience getting married and having a wedding. You are one of the lucky ones. Enjoy it!
