Well, we teased it a while ago on our Twitter page and it’s finally here; our review of the Rock My Wedding book. Not only that, but we are also giving you the chance to win your very own copy!
The author, Charlotte O’Shea, doesn’t need too much of an introduction. If you’ve heard of us, you’ve definitely heard of her website Rock My Wedding. Started in 2009, Rock My Wedding has been influencing couples in the UK and beyond with its unique brand of bridal inspiration.
The book itself is a complete bible on how to plan your wedding day, from the choosing the venue, to floral decor to finding your own personal wedding style. No stone is left unturned as you’re guided through every aspect of wedding planning that you could possibly think of. Some chapters even have checklists of questions to ask prospective suppliers. Not sure what to ask your wedding photographer/venue/bridal boutique or florist? Don’t worry, this book has it covered.
Alongside the great advice are some stunning pictures too. The beautiful images from real weddings on virtually every page mean that even after your wedding you’ll want to put it on your coffee table for your houseguests to admire. The chapter on flowers is especially beautiful, not only does it have expert advice on floral bouquets and decor advice from talented florists, it also has an 8-page spread on seasonal bouquets. But, whilst we’re on the subject of amazing images, it’s worth mentioning the section on desserts is pretty darn inspirational too!
At the back there’s a list of recommended suppliers, which got us pretty pumped up as there are some amazing Yorkshire suppliers included in there as well. Yes, we’re looking at you, Silver Sixpence Films, Debbie Carlisle, Papakata, Will’s Marquees and Leafy Couture. Go Yorkshire!
Well, have we convinced you that you need this book in your life? We’re giving one lucky reader the opportunity to win your very own copy! All you have to do is like our Facebook page and tell us why you want to win. Winners will be chosen at random on the 30th June 2017. Click here to read our full terms and conditions. Good luck!!
