Expectations: My wish list for my eloping Iceland wedding is to have photos with a waterfall! I have seen so many elopement photos taken in waterfalls and I think it would be so beautiful to have that as part of our day.

Reality: The famous Icelandic waterfalls are spectacular. It could be very humid and damp when you get close but hey, you this is justified when you see the final result.

Expectations: I want to have photos taken on a black beach! This is something I’ve seen over and over again on social media and I know that if we’re getting married in Iceland then we definitely have to go to visit a black beach!

Expectations: It always rains in Iceland and it’s overcast. I want my photos to be bright and cheerful.

Reality: It doesn’t always rain in Iceland although it’s best to be prepared. The weather changes fast in Iceland and is unpredictable, but that only adds to the charm.
